AHHHH Cant believe today is actually the last day of 2008!!!!!
To sum my year up (which I will do every year since I started blogging), it has been a hectic and busy, yet rewarding year.
After all the effords put in YE, I definitely have to say, the reward is fruitful. Not only sweeping all the awards, I myself also learnt a lot about business. The only downside is that I missed a lot of classes that "contributes" to my 72 purata at the end of the year. (which is 4-5 marks lower than the 2nd exam)
I guess I sorta grown up this year. I've learnt to prioritize relationship and responsibility. I remember I used to got so hooked up by relationship and everything I do would be for my friends before my responsibility. But this year maybe too much on my responsibility side, to the extend of losing some friends for my responsibility, for both YE and prefects side. (I guess I am kinda extreme eh?)
And failing my seniors in the election was something dissapointing. I thought I could prove that they are the best seniors (whom everyone thinks are anti-socialists) by winning the election. But anyway, that wasn't the big deal. The important thing is that I will carry out what they left for me. PS: James I will try my best, but not anything more than that. xD Sometimes you just have to let go if something is impossible.
This is a rather short review of the year, the shortest compared to the years before, I guess. My year was kinda simple, but very busy one. Hope next year will be a better year, cause' I definitely did not enjoy my 2008.
HAPPY NEW YEAR PEEPS!
Spend some time, Stalk my life!

Merry Christmas!
okay, I am going to update this long-not-updated blog.
Nothing much to say, I am not a Christian, so I am not celebrating either. But I am here to wish everyone, be it Christian or not, happy celebrating Christmas.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
ps: Santa, am I sincere enough to get a present from you? =p

Young entrepreneurs
SMJK KATHOLIK, Selangor, emerged the overall champion of the annual American Malaysian Young Enterprise (YE) Programme when it bagged four awards - Best Enterprise, Best Annual Report, Best Use of ICT and Best Product.
The awards ceremony was held recently at the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) in Kuala Lumpur and attended by the US ambassador to Malaysia, James Keith, and Amcham executive director Valerie Lyn-McDonough.
Sponsored by the Citi Foundation, the Amcham YE Programme is an innovative, extra-curricular activity for secondary school students who formed a “mini” company in school.

We did it, say these students from SMJK Katholik who participated in the programme.
This is the sixth year that Citi has sponsored the YE programme with a grant made available by the Citi Foundation.
It is also the second year that volunteers from CitiBusiness have invested their time and expertise to nurture students and provide practical opportunities for them to gain an understanding of the role of entrepreneurs.
“The YE programme provides the ideal platform for students to develop an entrepreneurial edge and hone critical thinking skills,” said Shian Goh, who led the CitiBusiness volunteers in mentoring 30 students from the school to success.
“The programme teaches students responsibility, financial literacy, integrity, hard work and other life skills,” Goh added.
Calling themselves the “Achievers”, the students from SMJK Katholik learnt to apply economic theories in the real business world when they set up a business and experienced the whole business cycle, from capitalisation to voluntary liquidation.

Family Day
I was at my mom's office yesterday for the Family Day organized by her company. I participated in the Amazing Hunt with ppl I dunno. okok lo...
But I met someone I know there. My mom's colleague's wife, who is also my Form1's English teacher, and now my teacher advisor for Editorial Board, Pn. Evelyn. This world is really small eh?
I lost the hunt. No fun...<.<

Clean sweep for Catholic High School
SMJK Katholik students bagged all four awards in the annual American Malaysian Young Enterprise Programme.
KUALA LUMPUR: Catholic High School of Petaling Jaya swept the board at the annual American Malaysian Young Enterprise Programme recently.
They won four awards -- Best Enterprise, Best Annual Report, Best Use of ICT and Best Product.
The award ceremony was held recently at the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce in Kuala Lumpur, and officiated by US Ambassador to Malaysia, James Keith and Amcham executive director Valerie Lyn-McDonough.
The programme, sponsored by the Citi Foundation, is aimed at helping secondary school students to learn about business and becoming entrepreneurs.
Students form a mini "company" at school and learn to translate economic theories into real business. They experience the complete business cycle, from capitalisation to voluntary liquidation.
This is the sixth year Citi has sponsored the programme with a grant made available by the Citi Foundation.
Shian Goh, who led the CitiBusiness volunteers as mentor for the 30 students from Catholic High School said "the programme provides an ideal platform for students to develop an entrepreneurial edge and build their critical thinking skills".
Azlin Nordin, another volunteer from CitiBusiness, said the students were committed to the programme as they could see the benefits of gaining experience and knowledge.
"They experienced a real taste of how to run and manage a business, how to resolve all the challenges they encountered, which they would not learn from textbooks," said Azlin.
